In light of this special day, we're excited to share inspiring and heartwarming Veteran stories from within our very own company and among the families connected to our team.
Let's take a moment to celebrate these incredible stories that remind us of the power of courage, hope, and the unbreakable human spirit.
Noah Kuhn & Zech Perruquet
Brothers of Amber Monroe - Head of Enterprise Strategy
Noah's journey began in 2015, enlisting and undergoing Infantry training at Fort Benning, GA. Stationed at Fort Wainwright, AK, he held significant roles as a Team Leader and Squad Leader, displaying exceptional leadership within a rifle team and Machine Gun Squad.
Later, Noah transitioned to become a CH-47 helicopter maintainer, stationed at Fort Bliss, TX, leading teams in the repair, inspection, and maintenance of CH-47 (Chinook) helicopters. Departing the army in 2021, he currently strives as a helicopter pilot and instructor, expanding his skills into airplane ratings.
"Dedication resonates within my brothers, Noah Kuhn and Zech Perruquet, shaping their paths through remarkable military careers," - Amber Monroe.
On the other hand, Zech dedicated 5 years to the Army National Guard as a 13 Foxtrot, specializing in artillery and air support.
Though his deployment training at Camp Ripley, Minnesota didn't culminate in deployment, he found profound meaning in a 6-month period with the Guard, conducting honor guard duties—providing dignified funerals for retired Veterans and fallen soldiers. Departing the Army National Guard in 2015, Zech now serves as a correctional officer for the State of Illinois, contributing to the security of a maximum-security prison.
Their journeys, defined by courage and service, stand as testaments to their unwavering commitment to both country and community.
Jason Mendez
Husband of Melissa Mendez - Education Manager
We're happy to share the story of Jason Mendez, a former E-4 Corporal who served in the US Marine Corps from 1999 to 2003. Jason's role as a Maintenance Management Specialist (MOS 0411) saw him stationed in Okinawa, Japan, and later at Camp Pendleton, California.
Through his service, Jason not only exemplified commitment and dedication but also showcased unwavering resilience in his role.
His experiences in two distinct locations brought unique challenges and opportunities, and his tenure as a Maintenance Management Specialist underscores the vital support system that keeps military operations running smoothly.
Jason's story is a testament to the strength and valor of those who have served, and we're honored to highlight his journey this Veterans Day.
